The Third Annual Victor Railroad Festival, sponsored by Friends of the Railroad, Inc. will be held from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. on Saturday, August 7th in the Village of Victor, NY. This great Summer event will again feature rail excursions, (including an Old Western themed trip) and Village rail history walking tours. Added this year will be model railroad displays and vendors by the Toy Train Collector's Society in the Presbyterian Church, and Blue Grass music, food and much more! There will be rolling stock and motive power displays by Finger Lakes Railway and private owners, antique automobiles, farm and firefighting equipment from Victor.
Excursion times are 10:30 A.M., 12:00 Noon, 1:30 and 3:00 P.M. Tickets may be ordered from Finger Lakes Scenic Railway by calling (315) 374-1570, or (preferably) via the internet through the www.friendsoftherailroad.org website.
Last year, the Rail Fest attracted more than 1,000 people from 36 New York communities, 11 other states, and 3 other countries. The Rail Fest will be held in the Village Public Parking Lot in front of the Village Hall at 60 East Main Street.
