What should I do if my mailbox is damaged by snow when my road was plowed?
Please report any damage to the Highway Department at 742-5094 or the Village DPW at 924-3311. Mailboxes are located in Town/Village right-of-ways. An alternative to locating your mailbox in the right-of-way would be to pick up your mail at the post office. Highway/DPW personnel will repair damaged mailboxes and posts as time and weather permit if they are damaged during plowing. Replacements are limited to a standard box and pole.
