Strategic Plan - How it all Started...
SP Task Forces Page

Our Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan consists of several critical components. The Vision, Mission, Beliefs and Parameters provide a strong reference for how the Town serves its citizens and businesses in working together. These components provide a very clear and compelling framework for how the community chooses to interact. It establishes a strong component for our "Town of Victor Brand."

The Strategic Intents provide targets and benchmarks for measuring success. All Task Force areas have one or more associated Strategic Intents. The Strategic Intent Matrix will allow us to measure progress on an annual basis.

Each Task Force continually updates the Task Force Reports which outline the activities, responsibilities, target dates and allocated resources for each Key Initiative.

Members of the Victor Implementation Team (VIT) present on a regular schedule at Town Board Meetings. Additionally, Department Heads consistently review the progress of the Strategic Plan as related to their area of work. They also meet with the Project Facilitator.

What is next…Continued Communication and Implementation!

We encourage our community to keep informed of our progress and accomplishments. VIT Agendas are available on the Strategic Plan calendar.

All VIT meetings are open to the public and include a public commentary section. Consistent with our belief in maintaining, encouraging and enhancing communication with our citizens, we are very interested in hearing from the Victor community as we forge forward.

If you have not already done so, you can volunteer to participate in Phase II, Strategic Plan development team. Let us know of your interest by e-mail or US Mail addressed to Victor Strategic Plan, Victor Town Hall, 85 East Main Street, Victor, NY 14564-1397.

A Community Joined In Purpose
The community of Victor is involved in the implementation of its Strategic Plan. Currently, the dedicated members of The Victor Implementation Team meets on a quarterly basis as a means of implementing the Key Initiatives and Action Plans of the Strategic Plan. Each of the ten Task Forces has Champions which consist both of Town employees (Internal Champions) and community volunteers (External Champions). This provides an opportunity for Town staff and members of the community to work together, in a shared format, toward common goals.

The Strategic Plan implementation process is purposefully designed to include a broad-based coalition of community members, Town staff and businesses. Victor is continuing to reach out to the community and invite others to join in. There is a considerable amount of exciting work underway.

Victor Implementation Team (VIT)
Implementation of the Town Strategic Plan is being carried out by the Victor Implementation Team or VIT. The VIT consists of champions for each of the ten (10) original task forces who meet, with others interested in their specific charges and action plans, to continue the work of the SP through the implementation stages.

The VIT meets quarterly at the Town Hall, 85 East Main Street, in the main meeting room according to the following schedule. Agendas are available on the Strategic Plan calendar.
