Hours of Operation
The Codes and Development Department is open to the public 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday – Friday.
After hours and weekend emergency contact may be made by calling 911. Emergency contact should be limited to issues of safety only. The 911 center will notify the inspector on duty who will determine the level of response needed.

Scheduling an Inspection
When calling to schedule an inspection, please have ready the address or subdivision and lot number, the type of inspection needed, your name and call back number. Our scheduling staff will offer you several available dates and times to choose from. Our inspectors maintain a reasonably tight schedule, and normally arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment. At the completion of the inspection, the inspector will explain the results to you if present, or leave an acceptance or rejection tag. If work is rejected, do NOT continue work without talking to the inspector so that you may understand what needs to be completed.
Scheduling a Meeting with an Inspector
If you wish to speak with an inspector, please call for an appointment as our inspectors are very busy and are usually out of the office conducting inspections.
