- Am I a Town or Village resident?
-
All Village residents are also Town residents, but as a Village resident, you have services available to you that town residents do not.
Please see the "Find out if I live in the Village" page.
- Where can I pay my Village Tax bill?
-
Village Tax payments are accepted in the Village Clerk’s office located at the Village Hall: 60 East Main Street, Victor. No partial payments will be accepted. Any Canandaigua National Bank branch will accept full payments in person during the month of June only. Please see the Village Tax Collection page for more details.
- Where do I go to get a building permit?
-
There are two municipal code enforcement agencies – the village and the town. The location of the site determines where you should go for information and permits. If you live in the Town outside the Village, contact the Town Building Department at 742-5035. If you live in the Village, contact the Village Hall at 924-3311.
- When do I need a building permit?
-
Always contact the appropriate town or village agency to determine if you need a permit before you begin work. You are required to obtain permits for new construction, remodeling, sheds, pools decks and pole barns; and in some instances driveway construction and fences. Please see the Village Building Department page for more information.
- How do I find out what my property is zoned?
-
Check with the appropriate code enforcement agency, Village or Town. Properties within the Village limits, call the Village Hall at (585) 924-3311. Please see the Village Maps page for the zoning map.
If you live in the Town but outside the Village, contact the Planning and Zoning office at 742-5040 or the Assessment office at 742-5010.
