1. Can Village residents use the Town of Victor Transfer Station and Swap Shop?

Yes as long as you have a permit. Please see the Transfer Station / Recycle Center page for more details. The Swap Shop is free. Please visit the Swap Shop page for details and hours.

2. Will the Department of Public Works pick up tires?

The DPW will pick up tires during Large Trash Pickup, twice a year, after the Village Hall has been notified and a $5.00 per tire fee has been paid. Please see the Village Large Trash Collection page for more details.

3. What should I do if my mailbox is damaged by snow when my road was plowed?

Please report any damage to the Village DPW at 924-3311. Mailboxes are located in Village right-of-ways. An alternative to locating your mailbox in the right-of-way would be to pick up your mail at the post office. DPW personnel will repair damaged mailboxes and posts as time and weather permit if they are damaged during plowing. Replacements are limited to a standard box and pole.

4. Who do I call to report a dead deer?

If the location is a Village road, call (585) 924-3311 for the Village Department of Public Works.

if the location is a Town road, call (585) 742-5094 for the Town Highway Department. 

If the location is a County road (Cty Rds 9, 41, 42) call Ontario County at (585) 396-4000. 

If the location is a State road (Rte 96, 251, 444) call NYSDOT at (585) 396-4955.

5. How can I dispose of my Christmas tree?

The Village Department of Public Works will pick up Christmas trees at your Village property (curbside) during the month of January ONLY.
